Survey First or Straight to Fitting?

Simple, well-mapped systems can go straight to install. If the layout is unknown, there’s a history of blockages, or multiple properties share the run, we’ll complete a drain trace/CCTV survey first. That confirms flow, finds breaks and ensures we place the valve in the right line.

Our Fitting Process

Access & safety: Lift manhole/rodding point and isolate the work area.
Confirm flow: Dye test or quick camera check where needed.
Size & set: Select valve type, torque to spec and lock in position.
Prove & document: Flush test, photograph the install and provide a short report with aftercare tips.

Pricing, Warranty & Maintenance

After an initial assessment you’ll get a fixed price for supply and installation (and CCTV if required). Valves and workmanship are covered by our warranty. Annual checks are optional but recommended if you’re on a shared line or prone to silt build-up.

A blocker stops new ingress from the sewer. We’ll also advise on sealing internal gnaw points, upgrading vent covers and tidying redundant penetrations so you’re not fighting the same battle again. Will a rat blocker affect my drainage?

No—installed correctly, it allows normal flow out while preventing inward movement. We flush-test every install.

Do I always need a CCTV survey?

Not always. It’s essential when the layout is unclear or there are signs of pipe damage. Otherwise we can fit directly from the manhole.

Can you protect terraced or shared systems?

Yes. We position the device to protect your branch without obstructing the shared run and document the placement.

How quickly does the problem stop?

New ingress from the sewer stops immediately. If rats are already inside, we’ll remove them and proof internally as part of a plan.

What if the camera finds a broken pipe?

We’ll show you the footage and propose repairs. In many cases we can still protect your property with a blocker while the defect is scheduled.
