Squirrel Control in Amersham
Amersham is Chilterns beech country with two quite different kinds of housing in it. The Old Town in the valley is period, with old complicated roofs; Amersham on the Hill is largely twentieth century, with simpler roofs and plastic rooflines.
Both have woodland close by, so the pressure is similar and the openings are completely different. It is worth knowing which you are in before anyone quotes.

Two kinds of roof
What Fails in Each
In the Old Town, the way in is usually where old materials meet: a slipped clay tile, a gap at a valley, a dormer cheek, lifted lead, the junction where an addition was joined to the original. Proofing has to be sympathetic and sometimes has to wait on a repair.
On the hill, it is usually plastic: a soffit joint, a roof vent gnawed through, a dry-verge cap, or the junction where a garage or extension roof meets the wall. Quicker to find and quicker to close properly.
The tree cover is the constant. Amersham's mature gardens and the beech above the valley mean the route onto the roof is rarely the limiting factor, so almost all of the lasting work is at the roofline itself.
