Drain Rat Blockers in Newport Pagnell

Newport Pagnell has a genuinely old core, and old-town drainage has usually been altered several times: a Victorian run, a post-war repair, a 1980s extension, a new kitchen last decade, all connected into each other.

Every one of those alterations is a joint somebody made, and the quality varies enormously.

Nobody Has the Drawing

The recurring problem on old property is not that the drainage is bad. It is that nobody knows what is down there.

Runs go in unexpected directions, chambers have been buried under patios and conservatories, branches serve things that no longer exist, and the connection into the sewer may not be where anyone assumes. You cannot fit a blocker in the right place without knowing the layout, and on a building like this the layout is a question rather than an assumption.

That is the case where a CCTV survey stops being an upsell and becomes the job. It produces a map as well as a fault list, and the map is worth having on its own for anything you do to the property afterwards.

Short answers

Newport Pagnell Questions

Do you cover the villages around Newport Pagnell?

Yes, the villages between Newport Pagnell and the edge of Milton Keynes are within the normal area.

Nobody knows where our drains run.

Common on older property, and it is the main reason to survey. You cannot place a blocker correctly without knowing the layout.

Is a survey worth it on a listed building?

Usually more so, because the alterations are older and less documented, and a camera does not touch the fabric.
