Wasp Nest Treatment in Chesham

Wasp Nest Treatment in Chesham

Chesham sits in a valley with wooded sides and a lot of older housing running up the slopes, much of it terraced and much of it with long narrow gardens stepping up behind.

That combination produces two things: shared roofs, and a great many garden structures on terraced ground where the nest ends up very close to where people walk.

A Nest That Is Not Above Your House

Where roofs run continuously along a terrace, the roof void often does too. A nest entering under the eaves four doors along can sit in the void above your bedroom, which produces the odd situation of wasps upstairs with nothing visible anywhere on your own building.

Where we find that, we will say so plainly, because it changes who needs to authorise the work and where the technician needs access. It is not a reason to do nothing — the treatment goes in at the entrance the wasps are actually using, wherever that turns out to be.

On the garden side, the steep plots here mean sheds, log stores and retaining walls are often at head height relative to the path above them. A nest in a dry stone or brick retaining wall is common and easy to walk straight past.
